Five to nine
Milan architects, designers and stylists Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, Studiopepe are the authors of the Five to Nine couch for Tacchini, composed of 12 soft cylinders. By analogy with Joe Columbo's outstanding transformer chair Tube, one element (cylinder) acts as a universal module, the addition or subtraction of which changes the parameters of the object.
The piece of furniture is conceived as universal and multifunctional: it can be a seat for rest or waiting; it can be used alone or in complex compositions (with an armrest that can act as a divider); and finally, it can adapt to both home and public interiors. The name reinterprets the metaphor of the working day: the Studiopepe furniture is called "From five to nine" instead of "From nine to five" and indicates that part of the remaining time when we can rest and take care of ourselves.
